Eye Protection When Using High Speed Tools

My husband told me that at work today, a co-worker’s eye was saved from injury because he was wearing safety eye protection. He said that the man was using a high speed sander when something broke off it and sent pieces of metal flying through the work area. A few employees got hit by flying debris but they were back far enough that the pieces didn’t hurt them. The employee using the sander had to have stitches in his forehead from debris. Luckily, because of the glasses, nothing hit into his eye.
